💡 Why so dilute?
Fern gametophytes, moss protonemata, and protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) of many orchids are extremely salt-sensitive. ¼ MS provides just enough mineral nutrition without osmotic stress. Also useful as a transitional wash medium before deflasking.
