💡 Key difference from MS
B5 has lower ammonium (2 mM NH₄⁺ vs MS’s 20 mM) and a different micronutrient ratio — critical because many legumes are sensitive to high ammonium. It also includes thiamine as the only vitamin required for most suspension cultures.

💡 When adapting a legume from MS to B5, do a 50/50 blend for the first two subcultures to avoid osmotic shock.
