| 🔬 Grade | TC / Anhydrous | 🌡️ Storage | Cool, ventilated, away from flame; flammable |
🧪 Uses in TC
| Use | Concentration | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Dissolving PGRs (BAP, NAA, IBA, GA₃…) | 70% ethanol or neat | Dilute to volume after dissolving |
| Tool sterilisation (flaming) | 70–99.9% neat | Dip, ignite, cool before use |
| Explant surface pre-rinse | 70% ethanol, 30–60 sec | Before NaOCl step |
| Disinfecting work surfaces | 70% ethanol spray | Before and after each session |
| Stock solution preparation | 70% | Dilute 1:3 absolute:water |
⚠️ Flammable — keep away from bunsen burners and open flame. Under laminar flow, use a cool autoclavable metal tray with a lid to control flaming. Never have a large open ethanol container near any ignition source.
