Sodium Hypochlorite 10% — 500 ml

NaOCl (bleach) is the most widely used surface sterilant in plant tissue culture. Dilute to 0.5–2% (w/v available chlorine) for explant sterilisation, adjusting contact time based on species sensitivity.

• ⚠️ Use in laminar flow hood only — irritating vapour
• 🧪 Dilute to 0.5–1% for soft tissues; 1–2% for woody/bark explants
• 📦 500 ml · 10% active chlorine · Store cool, dark
• ⏱️ Typical contact time: 10–20 minutes with gentle agitation
