pH Adjustment
Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) 37% — 500 ml
Concentrated HCl is used in the TC lab for preparing stock solutions and fine-tuning media pH below 5.0. Ideal for WPM (pH 5.5) and orchid media (pH 4.8–5.2).
- ⚗️ Add 0.1N HCl dropwise to lower media pH before autoclaving
- 🌿 Essential for preparing BAP and NAA stock solutions

- ⚠️ Corrosive — use in fume hood with gloves and eye protection
