Description
🌱 Gresshoff & Doy Medium — a 1974 low-nitrogen medium used for Arabidopsis thaliana and some legume tissue culture; less commonly used today but still cited in some Arabidopsis and soybean protocols.

💡 Use case
Gresshoff & Doy medium was one of the first media evaluated for Arabidopsis tissue culture before the widespread adoption of ½ MS. It is still referenced in some older Arabidopsis callus induction protocols and legume nodulation studies where its specific nitrogen balance is important.
💡 For modern Arabidopsis work, ½ MS or ¼ MS with B5 vitamins is more commonly used. Choose G&D when an existing protocol specifically requires it.
