Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP-40) — 100 g
PVP-40 is a polyphenol sequestrant — it binds phenolic compounds released by wounded explants, preventing oxidative browning that can kill cultures. Critical for vanilla, walnut, mango, and other high-phenolic species.
- 🌿 Use at 250–500 mg/L in initiation medium for phenol-rich explants
- ⚗️ Also add to explant wash buffer during surface sterilisation
